The Fort brings you one of the best views of the Sahyadri Mountain range especially during the monsoon. To observe the clouds rise from the edges would be another experience out of the box.
History says this is a fort with a strategic importance and worked as a safe house. Clear view of South Mumbai, Alibaug, JNPT with its neighboring mountain far north, prabalgad and Irshalgad. A climb from a steeper end and descend from a longer route + cloudy weather made the journey memorable.
