Durg Bhandar lies in Nashik region near in Trimbakeshwar and part of Brahmagiri mountain. Durg Bhandar or Bhandar Durg is more sort of a watchtower. The main attraction here is the deep rock cut steps which goes deep inside from Brahmagiri mountain the fissure and comes out in natural bridge and again goes up the fissure to Durg Bhandar. Apart from this Brahmagiri is also the source of Godavari river which flows towards east and meets Bay of Bengal. Durg Bhandar has a unique shape as it is like a cubicle and separated from main mountain by the natural rock bridge.
Bitangad is a hill fort in Indian State of Maharashtra. One of the less explored forts in the district of Nashik. It rises to an elevation of about 3500 ft. from MSL. This was used as an ancient watch tower to observe the paas between aunda - patta and Kasara. The summit of the hill is very small and not much is left of it. There is a cave on the way up, and no cisterns of water at the top. The plateau at the top is covered with dense vegetation, and offers a great views of the Kalsubai range (South West) & Patta (North).
