Kaldurg Fort is situated to the East of Palghar, Maharashtra, India in the Sahyadri mountain range of northern Konkan. It is strategically situated at a height of at least 475 meters above sea level, giving views of the Arabian Sea and the industrial town of Palghar to the west, as well as views of the Surya River to the east.
This is where the high mountains of the Wester Sahyadri Begins. Aundha Fort, is in Aundhewadi village between Nasik and Ahmadnagar in Maharashtra. This Fort lies in the Sahyadri mountain range at a height of about 4,300 above MSL. The fort of Aundha is like a pinnacle, since top of the fort is very small. This Fort served to keep a watch on the surrounding region
Bitangad is a hill fort in Indian State of Maharashtra. One of the less explored forts in the district of Nashik. It rises to an elevation of about 3500 ft. from MSL. This was used as an ancient watch tower to observe the paas between aunda - patta and Kasara. The summit of the hill is very small and not much is left of it. There is a cave on the way up, and no cisterns of water at the top. The plateau at the top is covered with dense vegetation, and offers a great views of the Kalsubai range (South West) & Patta (North).
